Flaherty Schools will be closed for fall break from October 2-11. We look forward to returning with our students on Monday, October 12, 2026!
We ended the week with a BANG at our Flaherty House Rally! Today we celebrated some of the students and staff who have been going above and beyond and making Flaherty a great place to be! Attendance Winners - Mrs. Haynes' class, Badge Board Winners- 6th Grade, PBIS Leaders, Beanstack Leaders, and our current House Leader for the school year… Empathy Estates! We are so proud of the hard work, positive choices, reading, attendance, and school spirit happening all across our building! Keep it up, Blue Devils! And what better way to head into Fall Break than with a little celebration?! We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and FUN Fall Break! We’ll see you back soon! 💙
Today was all about choice, curiosity, and discovering something new! Our students had the opportunity to choose a club that interested them and spend time learning, creating, exploring, and developing new skills outside of their regular classroom routines.

A BIG Flaherty shoutout to the Flaherty Fire Department! Thank you so much for taking the time to come to Flaherty and give our students an up-close demonstration of auto extraction! Our students loved getting to see the equipment, learn how paramedics and firefighters respond to emergencies, and see firsthand the important work you do to keep our community safe. We are so thankful for our local first responders and the time you give to educate and connect with our students! Thank you for being such an important part of our Flaherty family! 🚒🚑

Our 6th Grade Blue Devils have been busy learning, collaborating, and building relationships this week! Students worked together through Kagan cooperative learning structures and using hands-on activities that encouraged communication, teamwork, and problem-solving as they learned alongside their classmates.
We love seeing our Blue Devils support one another, learn together, and continue building our Blue Devil family!
From helping students tackle big challenges in the classroom to keeping our school clean, safe, and welcoming, these teams play an important role in making FES a great place to be! We’re so thankful for the dedication, hard work, and care our 5th grade teachers and custodial team bring to our Blue Devil family every day!
Our Flaherty PTO will have their first meeting of the school year on September 22 at 3:30 pm. All parents, guardians, and teachers are welcome to attend.

From welcoming our 4th graders to FES to preparing our 6th graders for the next big step, these teams bring encouragement, energy, and dedication to their classrooms each day. What a great day for our Blue Devils! Our Flaherty cross country runners gave it their all on the course, showing determination, perseverance, and incredible sportsmanship. We are so proud of every runner who competed!

Our Waves team and Student Services team work together to make sure every student feels supported, included, and ready to learn. From building social-emotional skills and helping students navigate challenges to providing academic, physical, and communication support, these incredible staff members meet students where they are and help them grow. We’re so thankful for the compassion, patience, and dedication they bring to our Blue Devil family every day!
