MAP Testing is August 25–27! MAP testing is different from a unit test—it measures student achievement and growth and gives our teachers valuable data to better meet each student’s individual learning needs. Please make every effort to have your child at school and present for testing on August 25–27.

Tomorrow is Domino's Pizza Day! Feel free to send cash or check with your student for an additional piece of delicious pizza for only $2! Please have the money in a bag WITH the students name and teacher name on it.

We are so excited to be back with our Blue Devils! This year, we're introducing an exciting new point system through our Meade County app that will encourage positive choices and give students the opportunity to earn fun weekly and end-of-term rewards.
Parents will be able to track their child's points throughout the school day, making it easier than ever for school and home to work together to celebrate success and encourage growth.
Here's to a fantastic year of learning, teamwork, and making memories!

Each year, we ask families to complete school forms, and now is a great time to do so. All forms are completed online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal—no more paper, and only one submission per household, even if you have multiple students.
These forms are required for every student and help us:
✅ Continue offering free breakfast and lunch to all students
✅ Provide access to school health services
✅ Make sure your child is included in the yearbook and other school events
✅ Support the programs and services that benefit every student
Thanks for helping us get the year off to a strong start.

Chromebooks are an important part of learning at Flaherty Elementary! As we begin the school year, we want to make sure our students understand how to use and care for their devices responsibly. All homeroom teachers reviewed these expectations with their classes last week, so we want to share them with our families. Please take a few minutes to review these Chromebook Expectations with your child as well so we can work together to keep our devices safe and ready for learning all year long!
Thank you for helping us teach our Blue Devils to learn, create, and achieve!

Our first House Rally of the year was a huge success at Flaherty Elementary!
Today, we welcomed our newest Blue Devils by sorting them into one of our four houses: Perseverance Pavilion, Respect Ridge, Integrity Island, or Empathy Estate!
Throughout the school year, students will earn points for their house by demonstrating our school values, making positive choices, and showing Blue Devil pride. The competition will continue all year as each house works toward earning the most points and claiming the House Championship in May!
We are so excited for another incredible year of learning, growing, and building our Flaherty family. Let the house competition begin!

Big news for Team Meade families!

Once again, we submitted our application using the important information families provide through beginning-of-year forms, and we have officially been approved for another year. We are excited to provide this benefit to every family while ensuring all students have access to nutritious meals each school day.
